The scale house at the Zemel Road Landfill is currently a trailer nearing end of expected usable lifecycle. Additionally, not compliant with the County's Ordinance of not utilizing trailers as permanent operations. The project would move the physical location of the scale house and its ancillary functions of a convenience center and household hazardous waste. The project will also streamline the flow and control of traffic in and out of the landfill.

Design, permit, and construct a maintenance dredge event within the Pirate Harbor waterway system. This project will include construction oversight with post dredge bathymetric surveys for project certification. The proposed pool will be 54% larger than the existing pool (140,000 vs. 65,000 gallons) and include lap lanes. To account for the increase in pool size and amenities, an increase in operating budget is included for staffing and operational needs (chemicals, utilities, equipment such as lane lines, programs, general maintenance, etc.). Due to the addition of lap swimming, the new facility will also increase operating hours to meet patron interest.

As part of the CMP, Community Services is conducting structural assessments on all piers, boardwalks, seawalls and boat ramps; through this assessment process it was bought to CS attention that Riverside Boat Ramp provides immediate safety concerns. During the site analysis the engineer determined the ramp could not be repaired in place; this project will be to design a replacement ramp that alleviates the safety issues.
